About Veda Rasheed

Ms. Veda Rasheed focuses her practice on personal injury and civil litigation.


Prior to starting the Firm, Ms. Rasheed served in the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia under Attorney General Karl Racine. Prior to joining the OAG, Ms. Rasheed was a clerk at the District of Columbia Superior Court for the former Chief Judge, Lee F. Satterfield. She also served as a law clerk with Chief Administrative Law Judge David C. Simmons and District of Columbia Court of Appeals Judge John JP Howard. Ms. Rasheed has represented and represents victims of serious injuries, automobile accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and injured employees in claims for workers’ compensation recovering millions of dollars for her clients.


Ms. Rasheed is a graduate of the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America. In law school she was an Equal Justice Works Scholar and extensively involved in providing pro bono direct-action work. Her efforts in her community earned her recognition as the Law Student of the Year by National Jurist magazine and the Michael F. Curtin Pro Bono Award as a member of the graduating class at CUA Law.  Ms. Rasheed is also a graduate of Bowie State University.


Ms. Rasheed is admitted to the District of Columbia and Maryland. Ms. Rasheed is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Washington Bar Association, and its Young Lawyers Division; the National Bar Association and its Young Lawyers Division; the Maryland State Bar Association; and the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.


Ms. Rasheed is a third generation Washingtonian and previously served as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 7E01 representing the Benning Ridge community. Ms. Rasheed was appointed by Mayor Muriel Bowser to serve on the Mayor’s Commission on African American Affairs.


Ms. Rasheed is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
